HCCH is organizing a field trip for the South Texas Hondo Corn Maize for their Nov. 11th homeschool day! The event starts at 9:00am and runs until 3:00pm.
This year, in order to reduce waiting time in long lines at the event during the morning hours, a Paypal link will be set up so that families can pre-pay HCCH for their tickets BEFORE the event. Stephanie Broglie will purchase all of the bands early on the morning of the event and will meet families at a designated area to hand out tickets and wrist bands. **Further details will follow for morning time/location to meet at the event.
Prices are as follows:
Under 2 years: Free (MatterCorn Slide Mountain and Corn Popper are additional fees)
Children 3 and up: $8.00 (includes MatterCorn Slide Mountain and Corn Popper Jumping Pillow)
Adults: $4.50 (MatterCorn Slide Mountain and Corn Popper are additional fees)
** If your 2 year old (or younger) or an adult want to jump on the Corn Popper or slide on the MatterCorn Slides, then please pay the $8.00 fee. The line might be too long to upgrade your ticket at the event.
A field trip to the MAiZE includes:
- 7 acre maze with age appropriate passports to guide you through the maze
- Hayride where the day to day operations of our farm and ranch are described
- Farmer Ken’s Kiddie Korral
- Hay bale jump and much, much more!!
Tips:
- Please check your email, HCCH Message Board, and HCCH Facebook before departing for the event (in case of cancellation due to cold/rainy weather, etc.)
- Please bring plenty of water (water is only available for purchase)
- Dress comfortably (camping attire, closed toed shoes)
- Feel free to bring a lunch to eat at the picnic areas (not all concessions will be available on field trip days)
