More Information about attending a show at the Magik Theatre:

Plan to arrive at the doors 30 minutes in advance if you want a good seat.  When you check in at the box office, just tell them you are with Stephanie Broglie's party and they will check you off the list. They will tell you which area is reserved for season pass holders (usually the first couple of rows, but not always).

Feel free to bring some snacks if your kids need that during the show.  You are allowed to eat snacks in the theatre.  Also, the theatre should have a nice edition of the book for sale with the entire cast signed and their picture in the book.  These books run about $15-$20 and are a nice memento to the show.  We always try to buy one of the books each show if they aren't sold out.

You can also bring a sack lunch to eat on the playground next door after the show.  Hemisphere Park is right next door to the theatre and is a nice place to let the kids run out some energy and have a lunch.  Sometimes the playground can be crowded with field trip kids from the theatre, so I usually try to put my little ones in bright colored clothes so I can see them easily.  I'm not sure yet if we are staying to play afterwards or not.

Parking:  Parking runs about $2-$5 in the area parking lots.  Here is the map link from Magik Theatre with parking lots listed:  http://magiktheatre.org/files/uploads/Magik-Theatre-Daytime-Parking-Map.pdf

The parking lot I like to use is $2 (bring some bills/coins).  Exit off S. Hwy 281 at Cesar Chavez into downtown.  Turn right onto Cesar Chavez.  Turn left on Alamo St. at the red light.  Take an immediate right onto Martinez St. (very small street).  Turn left onto Presa St.  Take an immediate left into parking lot fenced area.  Park and pay the meter.  Walk over to the theatre with your sack lunch and stuff. Bring a camera if you want to take pictures with the cast members afterwards.
